Virginia 250 Passport Program
The National Museum of the Marine Corps is proud to be a participating site in the Virginia 250 Passport Program, a statewide initiative honoring America’s upcoming Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

As part of this program, guests can pick up a free Virginia 250 Passport at the Museum and collect an official stamp during their visit. Each stamp represents a stop at one of Virginia’s historic destinations, helping tell the story of America’s path to independence and the ideals we continue to defend today.

A Patriotic Tribute to 250 Years of Service

Since 1775, the United States Marine Corps has served our Nation with the enduring motto, Semper Fidelis — “Always Faithful.” To honor this 250-year legacy of valor, our 2025 United States Marine Corps 250th Anniversary Commemorative Coin Program celebrates the few and the proud with a stunning five-dollar gold coin, a silver dollar, and a half-dollar coin. A Monument to HONOR, COURAGE & COMMITMENT

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a lasting tribute to the commitment, accomplishments, and sacrifices of U.S. Marines. Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and under the command of Marine Corps University, the Museum's soaring design evokes the images of the flag raisers of Iwo Jima and beckons visitors to this 240,000-square-foot structure. World-class interpretive exhibits with innovative technology and unique artifacts surround visitors and immerse them in the sights and sounds of Marines in action.

The Museum is a public-private partnership between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The Foundation was established in 1979 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to support the historical programs of the Marine Corps in ways not possible through government funds. The Foundation supports the Museum's volunteer and educational programs.
