Monday, November 10th	233rd Birthday of the Marine Corps Ongoing events all day: USMC Uniforms Exhibit — School Circle Quarterdeck USMC Ration Technology — Tun Tavern to Iraq, Café Overlook Postcards for Marines — School Circle Quarterdeck US Navy Six Knot Challenge — Classroom Captain Nicholas Recruits in Tun Tavern, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. only USMC Birthday cake ceremony — Leatherneck Gallery Two cake cuttings take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with distribution of cake to oldest and youngest Marines present. All visitors are invited to enjoy a piece of birthday cake. USMC Uniforms Pageant — Leatherneck Gallery, 11:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. NMMC Marines represent Marines from WWI, WWII, Vietnam and GWOT in a uniform pageant presenting the history of our Corps.
Tuesday, November 11th	90th Anniversary of the WWI Armistice and Veteran’s Day Ongoing events all day: USMC Uniforms Exhibit — School Circle Quarterdeck USMC Ration Technology — Tun Tavern to Iraq, Café Overlook Postcards for Marines — School Circle Quarterdeck USMC Uniforms Pageant — Leatherneck Gallery, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. NMMC Marines represent Marines from WWI, WWII, Vietnam and GWOT in a uniform pageant presenting the history of our Corps. Choral Performance — Manassas Community Chorale, 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. Patriotic Music.
Saturday, November 15th	Curator’s Chat — “Battle of Tarawa” Learn about the Marine Corps sacrifices and victory in this 1943 pivotal battle in WWII’s Pacific Theater. Join curator Beth Crumley in the classroom from 1 pm to 2 pm.

December 2008
Saturday, December 6th	Curator’s Chat — “Holidays On the Homefront” In the classroom at 1pm.
Saturday, December 13th	Family Day — Holiday Ornament Workshop Come visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps for a Marine-inspired holiday ornament workshop! The event will be held from 11 am to 3 pm in the classroom. Admission is free.
