Marine Corps Student Art Competition
The theme of the National Museum of the Marine Corps' (NMMC) 2nd Annual National Student Art Competition is "Welcome Home."
Student artists were asked to create 2D artwork which visually shows what "Welcome Home" means to Marines. Suggestions included, but were not limited to Marines and their families, Marines in U.S. history, being patriotic, brotherhood, and combat support.
Student artwork was judged in three grade-based categories: K-6, 7-9, and 10-12. The competition was open to all private, public, and homeschool students in the United States.
Thanks to the generosity of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, winners were awarded a certificate and cash prizes.
