Commemorative Plaques
Honor an organization with a plaque on the Memorial Wall at the entrance of Semper Fidelis Memorial Park.
With over a mile of winding paths, there are opportunities for organizations with an affinity to the Marine Corps to sponsor a memorial plaque that can be viewed by approximately 500,000 visitors to the National Museum of the Marine Corps and the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park each year. Sponsors take full responsibility for the cost of the plaque and its installation, to include a site fee and a one-time fee to be placed in escrow for the long term maintenance of the plaque. The precise location of the plaques is on the beautiful stacked stone memorial wall, just a few steps down from the General John A. Lejeune Rally Point Plaque Guidelines A selection committee chaired by the President, Marine Corps University, considers all proposals for plaques. Anyone interested in proposing a plaque should submit a concept drawing, including dimensions, text, name of the manufacturer, and a sketch of the finished piece to: President, Marine Corps University 2076 South Street Quantico, VA 22134-5067 An additional copy shall be submitted to the MCHF: Marine Corps Heritage Foundation 3800 Fettler Park Drive, Suite 104 Dumfries, VA 22025 Examples of installed plaques are shown at right. Once a plaque is approved, proposers will be directed to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation for additional information. |
