8TH ANNUAL STUDENT ART COMPETITION: HEROES
The National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) Eighth Annual Marine Corps Student Art Competition will open on February 1st, 2026 to all U.S. students in grades K-12.
The theme for this year’s competition is “Heroes.” Student artists are asked to create a piece of 2D art which exemplifies the theme. The art can be inspired by the life, stories, and/or achievements of an individual Marine or group of Marines, a famous battle, or event.

Eligibility
Student artwork will be judged in five grade-based categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, and special needs grades K-6 and 7-12. The competition is open to private, public, and homeschool students. Deadline Artwork entries must be submitted via digital copy. Email entries will be accepted starting on February 1, 2026 but will not be considered past April 15, 2026. Only the first fifty submissions in each category will be accepted for consideration. |
