Recently, you may have seen media reports of unfortunate, serious circumstances affecting fellow Marine Corps organizations. We have subsequently learned that some of our constituents expressed concern about the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and our current status. We want to assure you that despite the challenging economy, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is in an excellent position.
Work on Semper Fidelis Memorial Park continues at a great pace. The ceremonial final bough for the Chapel’s framework was nailed into place recently by one of the active duty Marines assigned to the National Museum of the Marine Corps and we anticipate dedication of the Chapel in late fall. The design for the expansion of Semper Fidelis Memorial Park is on schedule with construction slated to begin in early 2010.
We are grateful for your continued support, and most pleased with our continued progress. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
LtGen Ron Christmas, USMC(ret.) President and CEO of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation |
