Triangle, VA — Look up, look down, look all around because you never know where you'll find the items pictured in the National Museum of the Marine Corps' photographic scavenger hunt, "Semper Find."
The contest consists of 17 (you know, 1775 – the Corps' birth) pictures of items in the Museum and Semper Fidelis Memorial Park. Your mission is to find and identify those items before April 30, 2011. When (or should we say if because some of them may be hard to find) you correctly complete the mission, you will be eligible for one of several prizes. Entry forms are available at the Museum, on the Museum website at www.usmcmuseum.com/Semper_Find_Brochure.pdf, or on the Museum Facebook page.
"This is a fun way for new visitors to be introduced to the Museum, but it's also entertaining for anyone who has already been here," said Museum Director Lin Ezell. "I even had a bit of a hard time identifying some of the photos so I'm challenging our frequent visitors to come try their hand at this. I bet you'll see things in a whole new way."
The National Museum of the Marine Corps is located at 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway in Triangle, VA, and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except December 25. Admission and parking are free. For more information, please call 703-784-6107. |
